1. Good manners (No one likes someone who acts like a Real Housewife in public.);
2. Crisp white button downs (Donate or toss the old yellow ones. There are few things more striking than someone sashaying into a room wearing a crisp white button down.);
3. A mastered cocktail (A delicious drink up your sleeve using fresh ingredients is very impressive when company is over. I live in a citrus mecca, so I refuse to use bottled juices. Instead I hit local fruit stands or flea markets for fresh citrus. Shake a combination of freshly squeezed orange juice, grapefruit juice, lime, and lemon juice with vodka for a taste of Heaven on Earth.);
4. A murse (My accessories aren’t gender specific. I never leave home without a bag to keep all my crazy in. Really in love with this leather document holder I just bought.);
5. A gold watch (Well, I don’t have 10k to drop on a gold Rolex, but I’m a master of faking it till I make it. Gold-tones! I’ve had the same Invicta Rose Gold watch for several years, and still get complimented on it at least once a week.);
6. A pair of good boots (I’ve had the same pair of Lucchese 1883 Ranch Hand Roper Boots in black & brown for 2 years, and they get more beautiful every day. Invest wisely, and you’ll have them forever.);
7. Dark denim (No need for a closet full of high priced designer denim. Levi’s are my favorite. They’re classic, well priced, and they’ll last forever.);
   
8. Plain white/grey/black t-shirts; (8 times out of 10 I’m walking out of my apartment with jeans, boots, and a plain t-shirt. I’m about that simple life, but it’s never basic.);
   
9. Classic sunglasses (Bring your cool level up to 100% with a pair of Ray-Ban aviators. Really. Also, make sure the lenses are dark. People-watching is so much easier this way.);
10. Clean white sheets (At the end of a fucked up day, there is nothing better than sliding into clean white sheets. Problems forgotten.);
